COVID-19 crisis brews up big changes in IT.

What a year we had so far! Uncertainty, closed borders and economical shifts caused an immense impact on the way we work, do business and handle our partnerships. Surely taken measure for limiting spread of the virus had impact on all economic sectors, but what changes were introduced in IT sector? 76 % of businesses plan on long-term IT changes, states The 2021 State of IT.

Almost half of the companies already have or plan to accelerate digital transformation.

In a survey executed in July this year, which included more than 1000 IT decision-makers, software and hosted/cloud-based services are expected to grow. More thought will be given to developing of training aids to support remote employees, connecting employees using standardized, secure and easy to use tools, improving IT operations and systems performance.

Spendings in all mentioned areas can be easily understood. COVID-19 had caused a disruption almost instantly and many of the companies found themselves in a tight spot. Investments in portable hardware was in many cases the first step, while the second one was accelerated approach to use of cloud-based solutions for all business processes.

Easy to use cloud solutions are becoming secret tools of successful organizations.

One third of asked answered they are planning to equip employees with easy-to-use tools. Software solutions, no matter how perfected they can be, will not get far if they will not be user friendly and managers know that. Because of not knowing what might happen in months yet to come, cloud solutions are preferred. This goes for either strictly business management or developer tools. myQAbee, testing automation tool, is providing the answer fitted like a glow to demand of the market.

Among all areas which are getting through digital transformation testing is no exception.

Tools dedicated to testing automation are taking a similar direction as any other in IT world. Manual testing can be in many cases omitted by introducing testing automation tool, but here it usually gets tricky. Many of existing providers do not try answering the demands of the market which insists on cloud-based, easy to use, preferably codeless solutions, which must at the same time bring more advantages than the option which is already in use.

As we see few thoughts have to be spent on this topic as well.
